This large Etruscan bronze chandelier, made with the lost-wax casting technique, features refined symbolic and mythological decoration.
At the center of the basin rises a hollow cone incised with palmettes and lotus flowers, while the sixteen spouts for the lights alternate with protomes of the river god Acheloos. On the underside, concentric bands display rich scenes: a central gorgoneion, pairs of animals in combat, and a wave motif surmounted by dolphins. Beneath the spouts are figures of sirens and silens, some playing musical instruments such as the panpipes and the double flute.
